Just got back from previously mentioned fishing trip, and as expected, it was badASSSSS!!!!  I was really bummed that I had to come back to civilization and real life again...boo hiss.  Anyways, me, my dad, and my brother caught a shit ton of fish, ate plenty of great food, drank just enough beer...I mean soda...and generally had a great time.

Anyways, its late and I drove all day...its bed time...so peace out

Been a while, but whatev...

Just like to say that this past weekend was badASS!!!  Birthday Bash '06 = a hell of a lot of country music and good times.  I never thought that hangin' out with every hick this side of the Mississippi could be so much fun.  Me and the K-zoo boys got a camping spot for Friday and Sat nights, went to the concerts on Sat and Sun, met a bunch of new peeps *cough* some of whom were very good looking *cough*, bought coyboy hats and belt buckles, and had a good time hangin' out.  I managed to dodge the sun sucessfully most of the time...I give major props to my friend SPF 48 for helpin' in that department.

I think that the music was good enough to warrant a trip to Best Buy sometime soon to pick up a few albums...woot!

Until later folks...

Holy I haven't updated in a long time...

Welp, Japan was absolutely amazing, and quite honestly I was kinda sad to leave.  BUT...it is really good to see all my peeps in MI.  This summer should be an alright time.  Its going to be really long considering I've been done with school for 3 weeks already, and if I were at Calvin I still wouldn't be done for another 2 or so.  I am going to be taking a class at WMU this summer...Macroeconomics, sounds exciting huh.  I just started working this week too...all it took was one phone call...hells yea.  This job should be a lot better than last year...I get to do more stuff, includin a lot of driving, its a hell of a lot easier, and I get paid a lot more...which is important for a college kid such as myself.

Lets see...anything else that I need to put in this post...umm...nope.

Peace out my 友だち

Holy yea...its definately been almost a month since I last updated.  I hardly remember how to do this xanga thing.

Just thought I'd let you all know about an interesting train experience that I had this morning.  First, some background so that you understand what is actually going on.  Every morning I have to ride the train from my homestay to Hikone station in order to bike to school.  I always take the 7:56 train, and generally get to the station a few minutes early so as to decrease the possibility of missing said train.  When I get to the station, generally there are very few people who are on the platform before me.  Ok, now the stage is set, so here goes...oh yea keep in mind that today is the one day of the week that I have a test first thing in the morning.

When I arrived at the station this morning, I immediately knew that something was not right b/c there were already a crap load of people on the platform.  This either meant that for some reason the number of people who take this train in the morning has suddenly quadrupled, or that the last train never came.  Well, as I guessed, the last train never came, which means these people have been waiting since about 7.30.  The train didn't come at 7.56 either, and it was at this point that I started hearing announcements over the intercom...something like,"we are so sorry that the train has not come, we have shamed ourselves to the highest degree and will most likely go home tonight and commit seppuku, oh yea, the train will be here in 10 minutes."  Well, 5 minutes later, I hear a similar announcement, except this time it ends with, oh yea, the train will be here in 15 minutes.  Huh?!?!  Whatever.

Well, the train finally arrived 25 minutes late...turns out the train had an accident with a motor bike at about 7.30.  Whatever.  You need to understand that in Japan EVERYONE rides the trains in the morning.  That means that if trains dont come when they are supposed to, the number of people who end up riding the train that finnaly comes becomes extreme.  This morning certianly followed suit.  The train rolled up and I could see that it is PACKED...not packed like in American where people still have their "personal space".  No, this kind of packed is that kind that means there is no way another person can fit on this train.  When the doors opened, people were practically falling out.  I am thinkin, "there is no way I am not getting on this train...I am already going to be late for my test as it is."    So, I throw my backpack between my legs and stick my big, fat, gaijin ass into this sea of Japanese people.  Getting my entire body inside the train was quite a task...I had my toes withing a centimeter of where the doors were going to be closing, and I had thrown my hands up over my head and planted them above the door to keep from being pushed out of the train by the massive wieght of people I was holding back with my backside.  So, yes, I was now in the most crowded train that I have ever been in and making some of the "closest" Japanese friends that I hope I ever will.  I felt really bad for the guy behind me becuase when I looked behind me at one point, I realized that his chin was litterally resting on my shoulder.  I can just imagine what he was thinking when the doors opened and he saw me standing there ready to board..."oh no...not a gaijin, there's no room...he wouldn't try to get on right here would he...oh shit, he is definately going to try...*chin now resting on my shoulder*...this has got to be the worst day of my life."

Despite all this, Steve and I haulded some serious ass to school and arrived only 5 minutes late.  I would be lying if I said that this whole experience wasn't at least a little fun...or funny.

Welp, thats all...have a good one my 友だち
